Restoration River Ranch is all about creating space to slow down, step away from they busyness of life and take time to care for our souls, as Jesus did. But we also believe in doing so, we will be invited to engage the broken pieces of our hearts so that Jesus can heal us. Soul care looks very different for each of us and the circumstances we find ourselves in.  But caring for our souls is a crucial part of our faith journey, helping us to find peace in the One who gives peace and living water.  Jesus modeled this beautifully for us. We also believe this is the pathway to wholehearted healing.

We believe that we are most vulnerable and open to receive what God has for us when we can escape the busyness and stresses of our lives for a time, in the beauty of His creation, and slow down to be with Him and to listen to His voice.  In these times of "retreat", we hope that in opening the depths of our hearts & souls, we can surrender ourselves to what the Holy Spirit desires to do in and for us.  We intentionally make space and allow time for our guests to seek awareness of HIs presence.

We also desire to engage the hurts, pains, struggles and experiences of brokenness in our lives so that we can move closer to receiving the inner healing.  We don't have to look very deep to see pain and hurt in ourselves and in those around us.  Sometimes, caring for the souls of others means stepping into the pain, hurt and struggle, even for a short time, to allow the living water to flow through us.  The body of Christ!

In John 10:10 Jesus says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."  Let us not be deceived. We are in a daily battle with the one who desires to bring us down. Thankfully, Jesus offers us the power to overcome, because of His victory over death on the cross and His resurrection.
